Monday, November 20

Well, I just sold the old, rusty cider press for $200 last night, so the laundry room budget is now at $700 (which should cover the new floor, base cabinets, tall upright cabinet, and possibly a couple of the upper ones, depending on the cost of the flooring) YAY!!! Just another $150-250 to go, and if I save enough, maybe I can get a new sink and faucet (so I don't have to recycle the old ones from the kitchen remodel)

Well, I spent the weekend shopping and on a rampage to get my laundry room de-cluttered... De-cluttering went well, so I hung up some of my new "fairy" curtains... I am hoping to make the laundry room he most "girly" room in the house (it is not like the guys will step foot in there anyways)... Now I just need to start shopping for new flooring for in there, then I can start installing some of the new cabinets (until I run out of budget).

Laundry Room update...

Got some of the junk out of the Laundry Room...

and ripped out the old leaky, laundry sink...

...and updated the plans a little (to include a folding/sewing table)...

I think I am going to start by replacing the flooring, moldings, and base cabinets with my initial budget, and see what I can do to save up enough to purchase the upper cabinets to replace the wire shelving.

Well, John just informed me that I get a new Laundry Room for Christmas (granted, I have to build it)... and do it for $500, so here are some of my initial plans (although still over budget @ about $850 if I want a new floor too, maybe I will just start with the new floor, moldings, and base cabinets, then add the rest later):
