Ramblings of a Cluttered Mind...

Cluttered mind... Cluttered house... but maybe there is hope, if I can just dump my thoughts here...

Storm itinerary..

Hey all, here's the general breakdown of our 'storm experience'. All in all, we feel bathed in luck sauce.. Our friends Jim & Cathie, and a few guys here at work had their houses hit by trees.. GRIM times. Looks a lot like "Katrina Light(tm)" around the Puget Sound right now..

Thursday Night:
8pm-2am: In basement, feared for lives
2am-Morning: No falling trees in house, slept better, house still warm from residual heat

Friday Night:
- blocked off living room with sheets, cranked up fireplace
- camping in living room, hot dogs and cup-a-noodle, Yum! Starting to feel cold in bones..

Saturday:
- Warm breakfast at Canyon Park, yay!
- Super score, found hotel room! With heated pool! Sweet-AH!

Sunday:
- Power still not back on at house. Cleaned out fridge, temp in fridge and house equalized. Smell of ‘funk’ settling into house
- Borrow neighbor’s generator to refreeze freezer, so we can at least hold off cleaning it out for a few more days.
- Home Depot waiting for truck of generators to show.. Kids angry. Mom angry. Dad want booze.
- Friend calls, got power back on, offers place to stay = Yay!
- Cozy again.

Monday:
- No power in house yet, looks like all week until it’s back. PSE says they have to rebuild the lines from scratch in our neighborhood. Good times ensue.
- Work opens daycare for families with nowhere for kids/spouses to stay warm. Offers dinner for fams. Bungie = rox.
